macchiato heart by eatbrian macchiato heart by eatbrian
i poured this heart into a 3 oz. cerramic cup. ...2 oz. of espresso were already in the cup before i started to pour. damn thats pretty. the whole process was about 2 minutes from pulling the espresso, steaming the milk, pouring the design and taking the picture..

ooo coffeeee! This is very pretty. If I ordered this in a cafe it would take me forever to get around to drinking it - I'd be too busy staring at it :D
But I am a coffee addict. So I think this looks beautiful and artistic as well as delicious!

Wow, that's lovely :) I always wanted to have coffe like this, but since I'm a total ignorant I put the milk with spoon and then shape the heart using stick :D

That's a cappuccino.

Not a macchiato.

Pretty nonetheless.

no its actually 3 ounces with thinner milk making it a macchiato..

A macchiato has no milk in it. Just foam on top of espresso. Hence the name "macchiato", the past tense of "macchiare" meaning "to mark" or "to blot".

Is there an american way? or a melanesian way for that matter? Espresso IS italian.

There's more than one variation so I suppose I just better accept it.

This is a wonderful job and as being a barista myself I pride on making a damn good cup of espresso. Your form is great the bands in the heart just accentuate the "beating" if you will. The angle of the camera with the cup is great as well and the spoon is there but not overtaking the picture. Good job on that. The only real thing that I have a qwark with is the rim of the cup itself. The little splashes take my out of the "aww it's a heart!" feeling. That's it just the splashes. I know it's damn hard to get the foam on the milk just right and to pull the espresso to make great crema but I don't know if you hand was shaking to much or what but the deal was. But this still is a great photo and an avid espresso drinker. But this still earns a fav in my book.

Well done.

thank you so very much. origionally there was coffe all over the cup but i photochopped it out. i left the bit of coffee on the rim cause i didnt wanna seem like it was tooo perfect. ya know?? i was pulling that shot with the "naked"portafilter and i think it had sat for a while cause the espresso kinda sprayed a little bit when it started to pour. it was just the first split second and the rest of the shot was perfect. hence the coffe all over the cup....

little do you know that its been already touched up heavely (is that how you spell that) on photoshop. not the actual heat pour but the table had a huge dark spot and there was mad coffee all over the cup cause i spilled it and shit. i left the little on top so it didnt look SO perfecct. you think it should all go??

That's awsome =D So cool it deserves some photoshop improvement! I dunno, darken the table, erase that shadow in the left bottom corner, clean the mug, lighten the spoon a little bit and then send me the pic 'cause I would definitely mark it as a favourite

It's shaky, don't know why Oo But I just had this idea while watching it, u know that PS thing that makes the light go from one point and fade into the opposite point? Like the one I used in my The Flowers and the Light It would look so amazing, it'd give it that warming feeling that comes just from watching the hot cappucino... I'll try do to it to show you what I mean and post it in my page just so u can see it

I love it, shame about the image quality, it could be that your shutter speed is to slow and F-stop to high, for a close up shot like this you shouldnt need more than ~5.6 to get it all in focus, this will allow for a much faster shutter speed, so it will be a sharper picture, otherwise use a tripod, otherwise the olympus e-series doesnt have a good sensor, ive never used them tho, so i wouldnt know
